
Noted author and psychologist Claude Steele, a protege of Kenneth Clark, spoke at Syracuse University tonight. He discussed stereotype threats and the significance of identity from his book Whistling Vivaldi. Real excellence comes from a diversity of perspectives, he said. His twin brother is author Shelby Steele.
