Syracuse Fashion Week kicks off on Wednesday, but it was Taraji P. Henson who was willing to strike an early pose during her visit to Syracuse last week (wearing Michael Kors).

Taraji P. Henson currently plays Cookie on the Fox-TV drama Empire, which debuted January 7, 2015.

She talked about her work in films and television, particularly the success of her new show Empire and the fortitude it takes to pursue a career in show business. She said she’s had the most fun in her career so far on the film Talk to Me (the Petey Greene biopic). Henson will host Saturday Night Live April 11.
She asked how many students in the audience wanted to run studios (versus merely acting or directing).
