Nate Bourdeau is one of the Silver Knight players who are now playing the outdoor season with Syracuse FC. Syracuse lost the game to AFC Cleaveland 5-1.
Coach to Keeper: Bryan O’Quinn left the field as one of the best goalies in the league. He retired to become head coach of the Knights. Yesterday marked his come-back. He recorded 17 saved and Syracuse defeated Chicago 11-2.
The goals were so plentiful in today’s Silver Knight victory over the Chicago Mustangs that even defender Darren Toby booted a score (in the first quarter).
Kenardo Forbes was heated looked ready to take on the whole city of Chi-town after a series of rough plays at the end of the first half of today. He had to be restrained by the refs and players on the field and ended up receiving a double blue card. Forbes came back in the third quarter and scored a goal. Syracuse defeated the Mustangs 11-2.
Knights player Jerjer Gibson (right) jockeys for position against Nelson “Nelly” Santana during Thursday nights game against Baltimore. Nelly’s return home was a good one for Baltimore, who beat the Silver Knights 6-3. The Knights will open the 2017 portion of the season with a game against Harrisburg.
Joey Tavernese scored the final goal of the year for the Silver Knights, With less than a minute to go in the second quarter he plowed his way thru and beat the keeper and another defender during last night’s game. The Silver Knight took a 3-2 lead on this goal, but ended up losing the game. The team’s next game will be against Harrisburg the first week of January.
The Syracuse Silver Knights provided some thrills and a holiday victory for fans on Friday night. The club came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat Harrisburg 6-4. The game-tying goal by Moises Gonzalez is shown in the clip above.
