Jim and Juli Boeheim spoke at the Brazzlebox Summit on Wednesday.

We are not ready to say Coach Boeheim is becoming kindler and gentler, but while speaking at the Brazzle Box Small Business Summit this week he launched into a down right motivational story of perseverance by Dajuan Coleman. He talked about the intense rehab and Coleman not being able to play any basketball for a few years. Coleman has made it back from a severe knee injury and is back on the floor for the CUSE. Listen below for an excerpt of Coach Boeheim’s comment.

SU was not ranked in the recent SI top 25, and we don’t know where they will end the season, but one thing we can say for sure, Boeheim certainly cares deeply about his players. But then if you heard him speak at the Homegoing for Eddie Moss, or saw him defend Andre Hawkins after that Big East Tournament game versus Georgetown back in the day, you know this already.

Carlemo Anthony visits Wilson Park for Courts for Kids Event in Syracuse

When you’re hot, you’re hot.

A swarm of fans surrounded NBA star Carmelo Anthony  when he visited Syracuse’s Wilson Park for a Courts for Kids event yesterday. Anthony was certainly the people’s choice in a group of celebrities that included Hall of Famers, TV personalities, politicians, business personalities and former pro athletes.

The Courts for Kids Program plans to renovate courts in Syracuse, Baltimore, Denver and Puerto Rico. Yesterday’s event was organized in conjunction with the Jim Boeheim Foundation and the Dorsey Levens Foundation.
