Zeke Leonard, musician

Here is an idea whose time has come.

We look forward to more music/concerts and live shows at Forman Park along the Connective Corridor. Today we witnessed professor Zeke Leonard climb atop a car to perform “This Land is Your Land,” complete with a recycled ukulele and a NY-made-kazoo.

Leonard’s lunchtime performance was part of the Corridor’s Green Streets and Local Eats festival.

Let’s find a way to keep the music going at Forman Park.

A flash mob showed appreciation for outgoing Chancellor Nancy Cantor at Syracuse Stage on Friday.

The city gave a farewell flash mob for Nancy Cantor today at three locations: The Warehouse, City Hall, and Syracuse Stage.

If there was one word that can describe her tenure it was engage. Cantor engaged the alumni, students, sports fans, the government, the environmentalists, urbanites, artists, and several of our neighborhoods.

Most important, Cantor engaged our attention.  Her leadership showed us more was possible.

Freestyle, Adanfo Dancers, medical Clinton Square

Virtually everywhere I went in the past few weeks it seemed like everyone was doing their dance.  I saw African dance and freestyle moves in Clinton Square,  Salsa on the Near West Side and even ballet at today’s flash (dance) mob in Armory Square.
