Barry Muskat, find developer from Buffalo, talked about 709 East Genesee Street on Thursday.
On one hand developer Barry Muskat sounds like a comedian (listen to sound clip below); on the other hand, he is definitely an optimist. His company has taken over 709 East Genesee Street, brought in United Uniform as an anchor tenant, and he’s not done yet.
The property is located across from Forman Park, between the Crowne Plaza Hotel and the Parkview Hotel.
During the press conference to announce the winners of the Connective Corridor facade grant winners (round 2), Muskat hilariously walked business owners, officials and the press through his firm’s plans.
He praised officials from the Connective Corridor and local businesses for changing what he called the “psychological infrastructure” of the neighborhood.
North Face: As Muskat gave his comments at the press conference, the work continued on the United Uniform commercial space, which is schedule to open on Monday.
All jokes aside, let’s hope Muskat’s enthusiasm is infectious.
New Neighbors: Muskat met briefly with Woodbine Group Director of Sales/Hospitality Chris Tucciarone after his presentation.

The Bill Horrace Trio, the hardest working band based along Syracuse University’s Connective Corridor, began a new gig this summer, playing the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Wednesday evenings.
