A portion of the Blacklites (called the Blacklites Lite) closed out the COVID-19 Awareness Concert series at the Syracuse Community Health Center tonight. The section of the band (left to right: Emmanuel Atkins, Rick Linzy, Ricky Chisholm and Eddie Brown) also played the opening week on August 27. The month-long series was an alternative to the pre-pandemic Jazz in the City shows that typically travel around Syracuse at the end of each summer. This year the music accompanied a testing center located at the Syracuse Community Health Center. Other acts to perform included Ronnie Leigh, Mike Houston & Sam Wynn. The Central New York Jazz Arts Foundation produced the shows.
