The Chiefs and catcher Jhonatan Solano came within a few seconds of taking the last game of the season against the Buffalo Bison to extra innings. Despite the strong finish and robust crowd, and the Salt Potato uniforms, the Chiefs lost 3-2.
The Buffalo Bison finally got on the winning track in Syracuse thanks to pitcher Glenn Sparkman. He is pictured here in the bullpen before entering the game with another colorful name: Jarrod Saltalamacchia (left)
The Chiefs are on a win streak and have defeated the Buffalo Bison for two straight games thanks to some active bats. Centerfielder Andrew Stevenson went 2-for-4 yesterday. He is shown here in the bottom of the third inning getting back to first after taking a lead. Syracuse won last night 2-1. In both games the winning run came courtesy of Irving Falu (who hit two home runs).

Buffalo pitcher Patrick Michael Venditte showed off his ambidexterity earlier this week as he pitched several shut out innings against the Chiefs. His slider had equal velocity and movement from each arm.
