Stopping Short
Wednesday, July 20th, 2016A few things we noticed during today’s Syracuse Chiefs matinee contest vs. The Gwinnett Braves: the crowd was great for a noon time start, Adrian Sanchez made a fashion statement with his compression undershirt, and lastly that there’s no way that the umpires should have missed the call during the six inning when they mis-ID’d Mel Rojas Jr’s foul ball as a home run (we had a vantage point near right field). Saturday, June 25th, 2016Don’t let his baby face fool you, Syracuse Chief’s dynamic shortstop Trea Turner is an assassin at the plate and is having a killer season. Tonight he went 3 for 4 in a Syracuse win.
For the season the 22-year old NC State grad is batting nearly .300.
