Guitarist Gil Parris will return to Central New York this month for a concert for the CNY Jazz Cabaret Series. Parris is pictured here with Syracuse’ number one music fan, Bobbie Jean Willis.
Next month Antoinette Montague, in her melodic majesty, will return to Syracuse to play the Black History Month Cabaret for the Central New York Jazz Arts Foundation.
For her February 15 show Montague will be accompanied by guitarist Solomon Hicks (aka King Solomon).

Improvisation is the name of the game in Jazz. We love to see the guest vocalists at the Sitrus Lounge series, but on Friday Jeff Stockham was pulled out of the crowd and joined the jam session.

N. Kelly at Sitrus Lounge
Jazz at Sitrus kicked off the 2014-15 season by hosting the first lady of CNY Jazz, Nancy Kelly. She was joined last night by retired Ithaca College educator Steve Brown on guitar, Dino Losito on keys and Rochester’s Mike Melito on drums.
This is the fourth season for the series.
