Will Gorman goes (colorful and crazy) on the keyboard.
During last night’s Jazz @ Sitrus show Will Gorman touched up the keys and sang a Stevie Wonder cover, all while showing off his colorful and crazy socks (sans left shoe). Hopefully, the CNY Jazz Arts alum and Nottingham grad will soon become a brand ambassador for a local design company.

MG3 (aka Gardiner, Dekaney and Gorman) provided the perfect Turkey Day detox at the Sitrus Lounge on Friday evening. CNY Jazz’s Larry Luttinger said he hopes to continue the post Thanksgiving segment annually. Things started slow, but by the end of the first set the festive crowd had grown significantly and seemed to revel in the eclectic mix of standards and original compositions.

Jim Bright led a tour of Brighton/Salina Corridor earlier this week.
The tour, which was part of SUNY ESF’s Center for Community Design Research Visioning Voices Community Speaker Series, highlighted neighborhood properties such as People’s AME Zion Church, the South Side Innovation Center Dunk & Bright, the South Side Communications Center, the Mary Nelson Youth Center as well as a handful of projects in progress (Shawn Casey Building, Aspen Heights and Salina Crossing). Dunk & Bright has been a family business for nearly 100 years and the location on South Salina Street is 90,000 square feet.
