Ben Green leads SU alumni in a discussion about networking
Coming Back Together X (Ten) featured a forum on social networking featuring various communications professionals. The panel was moderated by Ben Green, SU ’85 and dedicated to the memory of Lee Keitt ’76.
The discussion focused on mentoring, generosity, improvements in delivery systems and social media limitations (not 100% marketing, not 100% personal).

Coming Back Together X-Cal to Action Education Forum
Syracuse University alumni returned to campus this weekend for Coming Back Together (CBT) X. Today’s CBT X schedule featured a panel discussion about “Saving Our Black and Latino Boys” at the School of Education that featured Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler, former SU Football player A. Alif Muhammad, Keith Alford, Dalia Rodriguez and Jeff Mangram. Muhammad (standing in photo above) stressed education with cultural sensitivity and warned against misrepresenting the behavior of black and Latino young men. Syracuse Common Council President Van Robinson presents a city proclamation with on-air personality Fanny Villarreal during the Hispanic Heritage Month yesterday at Delaware Academy.
SCSD Superintendent Sharon Contreras, the keynote speaker, talked about her Hispanic heritage and about Latino achievements and educational goals.

Photographer and author Mike Greenlar at Art Rage
Photographer Mike Greenlar recently self-published a book titled Remnants of a Secret War, which documents the post-war landscape and cultural traditions in Laos.
The photographs from this personal project were a decade in the making for Greenlar, who also works for the Syracuse Newspapers.
Greenlar talked about his travels and the project last night at Art Rage. He gave some good advice to a photographer in the audience: “Photo editors always like to look at good pictures, so always be working on a personal project.”
