T. Blunt
T’was four nights before Christmas and laughter could be heard coming out of the theater at Jazz Central. The intimate music spot became a venue for some down-home laughs (and occasional snorts) last night.

Dan Frigolette
Hoboken’s Dan Frigolette (graduate of Baldwinsville High) put together another joke fest this year, featuring Anna Phillips, and Syracuse natives Jessimae Peluso and newcomer T. Blunt (who served as the MC). There were two sets for the Friday show.

Toronto’s Chrissie Cunningham: Was it something I said?
Anna Phillips (pictured below) produced a comedy show at Jazz Central last night that featured homegirl Jessimae Peluso, Amy Carlson (New Rochelle) and Chrissie Cunningham (Toronto).
Anna Phillips said she thinks she is smarter than Lil’ Wayne, but she’s not sure.
Jessimae Peluso, who now lives in NYC, danced on stage, then reminisced about CNY and summers at Green Lakes making the human chain.
The laughs were punctated by stories about Hip Hop, relationships, parties and pet dogs.
Amy Carlson, who lives in New Rochelle, wrote a poem about Syracuse. Want to hear it, here it goes…
Cunningham, who happens to be hearing-impaired, was making her U.S. and Syracuse premiere.

Moody McCarthy
Central New Yorker’s turned New York City comics Moody McCarthy and Dan Frigolette came home to the Jazz Central stage last night for two shows.
McCarthy took a satirical view of his alma mater’s mascot (Moody’s a Corcoran alum) and family gift giving, while Frigolette (an SU grad) engaged the crowd about the chances of a Jersey guy picking up women from Manhattan and a comedian’s limitations in hierarchy of show business.
MC for the show was ESM grad Justin Taylor.
