Jaqueline Page , (left) a student in College of Arts and Sciences/Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs/S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, participated in the Rose-Laying Ceremony at Syracuse University on Friday. After her remarks she was consoled by a fellow student.

Construction of the the two tiny houses by the not-for-profit Serenity for Women began this week. According to builders the project is slated to be finished in about 2 wks. The project is located in the 400 block of Hawley Avenue.

The Daily Show’s Hasan Mihaj was part of the University Union and University Lecture Series at Syracuse University on Friday. He talked about refugees, immigration, fake news and the probability of being attacked by a terrorist. After an opening monologue he was engaged in a conversation with SU Professor Osama Khalid.
