Friday, February 10th, 2017New York is slated for plenty of redevelopment, including airports, transportation hubs, tourism/welcome centers, as well as clean energy initiatives, in nearly every part of the state. All these projects are scheduled to be assessed for minority and women business (MWB) goal settings.
Zapata told a room full of either certified or aspiring minority and women business firms to pay attention to these types of projects because “these are where the opportunities are coming in the future.”
Once, Twice, Three Times a Lazer
Thursday, February 9th, 2017The SUNY OCC Lady Lazers continue to impress. They feature a stifling 3/4 court press and quickly move the ball with a UCLA/flex -type offense. The stat from last night’s game that stood out, however was that the three players pictured out scored the entire SUNY Broome Community College squad 42-38.
The final score was OCC 81 and Broome 38.
The team is now 21-3 overall, and undefeated in conference play. Their next game is against Jefferson Community College.
Lincoln Hill to Onondaga Hill
Thursday, February 9th, 2017Former Henninger coach Erik Saroney won over 200 games in Section III, including multiple championships. He has put together a great inaugural season on the other Hill behind an uptempo, pressing style that has become a trademark of his former clubs.
Behind local standouts such as Tyler Sullivan, James Walker and Quantae Elijah, OCC is now 20-6 overall and 6-2 in conference. They defeated SUNY Broome Community College last night 111-65. Their next game is against Jefferson Community College on Friday.
