Syracuse University professor Charisse L’Pree (left) was joined Thursday evening for a public conversation by television writer Erika Green. Their informal dialogue was part of the 15th Annual Conversation on Race and Entertainment Media and touched on topics such as the meaning of diversity, the Oscars, changing portrayals of black love, and the creative work happening on the small screen.

Melissa Gardiner and her band marches on!
These days a party’s just not a party until Second Line Syracuse meanders on through. They did just that during the Festival of the Fantastical Follicle last Friday. When they show up it’s always Mardi Gras or Carnival!
Mike Heagerty kept time for the band as they descended to the lobby.
Dan Fields tried to blow the roof off the Landmark.

PRPAC’s Charles Anderson (rear) comes face to face with his inner demons during the “Symbiosis” scene in George C. Wolfe’s “The Colored Museum.” Issaiah Vegara plays the victim. The preview was staged this weekend at Art Rage Gallery. The full production by The Paul Robeson Performing Arts Company will take place in June.
