Construction of the the two tiny houses by the not-for-profit Serenity for Women began this week. According to builders the project is slated to be finished in about 2 wks. The project is located in the 400 block of Hawley Avenue.

The chains are an example of dubious economic development in underserved neighborhoods and areas that are food deserts.

American Heart Association of CNY Go Red Silent Disco Registration
The fountains and brick walkways of Hanover Square became a dance floor during the Silent Disco party coordinated by the American Heart Association last night. The event featured DJ Bella J streaming three channels of music to participants in headphones (provided by SE 2 of Buffalo). The silence soon gave way to singing, clapping and shouts of joy. During the first hour of the program we saw a massive electric slide that consisted of mothers, daughters, colleagues and friends.
