At the New York State Fair Boys All Star Game, West Genesee senior Lucas Sutherland created many driving lanes and helped lead the West starts to a 39-24 first quarter lead.

David Mo of Bishop Grimes led the West on a comeback that cut the lead to 57-64 by halftime.

Chiefs (Salt Potatoes) starter Phillips Valdez didn’t get the win, but he faced 26 batters in seven innings, struck out four and gave up only four hits. The Potatoes beat Rochester 3-2 in 10 innings.
